Material Notes

Pressed flowersResin & sealing
Close arrangement of pressed petals and leaves on a studio table

Pressed flowers keep shape but lose depth. Resin keeps depth, while light passes through petals differently. Moss feels softer when it is preserved first. Every method asks the plant to give up one quality so another can stay.

Vacuum sealing is mainly for flat, single-layer pieces. It can slow oxidation, but the material is still part of nature and will keep changing in small ways.

Finished pieces still need ordinary care at home. Keep them away from strong sun and damp air, and they will age more quietly.
